gospel resolution

Access through Christ (Hebrews 4:16)

Intelligence Brief

When humans encounter God's glory directly, they do not remain standing. Abraham fell on his face (Genesis 17:3). Moses hid his face (Exodus 3:6). Isaiah cried 'Woe is me!' (Isaiah 6:5). Daniel's strength left him (Daniel 10:8). John fell as though dead (Revelation 1:17). Ezekiel falls on his face — not as religious performance but as involuntary response to overwhelming holiness. This is what happens when creature meets Creator without mediation. The good news of the gospel is that in Christ, we can approach the throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16) — but only because Christ has gone before us.
