The seat of ultimate, sovereign authority — the architectural and theological center of the entire book of Revelation. The word appears 47 times in Revelation. Everything in the book radiates from and returns to the throne. God's sovereignty over all events, including tribulation and judgment, is the foundational claim the throne image establishes. GK: thronos (θρόνος) — ruler's seat, seat of power. HEB: kissē (כִּסֵּא) — throne; associated with the Davidic covenant and divine rule (Psalm 45:6; Isaiah 6:1; Isaiah 66:1). SCIF: Supreme command center — the fixed, unassailable origin point from which all operational orders proceed. Every event in every theater traces its authorization back to this location. Nothing occurs outside its jurisdiction.
