Fourteen chapters of the most Messianic prophetic material outside Isaiah. ZECHARIAH operates alongside Haggai during the temple rebuild but sees far past the construction site. Eight night visions in chapters 1-6 cover divine cavalry, measuring lines, a high priest cleansed, and a flying scroll. Chapters 9-14 shift to apocalyptic mode: a king riding a donkey, thirty pieces of silver, a pierced one mourned by the nation, living water flowing from Jerusalem, and a final battle where the LORD's feet stand on the Mount of Olives. Zechariah provided more visual intelligence for Passion Week than any other prophet. The Gospels quote him constantly.

Zechariah 12:10 — 'They will look on me, on him whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him.' John 19:37 cites this at the crucifixion. Revelation 1:7 cites it at the return. The pierced operative is identified twice — once in grief, once in glory. Same wounds. Different debriefing.
